Shannon Hafermann, PT
Physical Therapist
Vision and Patient Care
My practice revolves around partnering with and empowering my patients to address their specific needs. This means meeting each person where they are and using education to help them deeply understand their condition and goals. A typical course of care progresses from skilled manual therapy to address specific pain and/or movement limitations and then moves onto exercise-based activities for full recovery.

Shannon sees each patient as a unique whole. This involves using both part-specific and global biomechanical evaluation and treatment skills. Throughout the course of care, a patient will have a home program tailored to that phase of recovery. The long-term goal is to equip patients with the skills needed for independent management and the prevention of re-injury or recurrence.
Education and Experience
Shannon earned her B.A. in Biology from Dartmouth College in 1991 and her B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 1995. She is a highly skilled manual therapist specializing in outpatient orthopedics, treating a diverse range of patients, from mountain athletes and dancers to those dealing with persistent autoimmune and neurological conditions.
Shannon has lived in Leavenworth for 25 years, where she has built a thriving, name-recognized practice. She is now moving her practice to Mission Peak, drawn by their commitment to specialized, quality care provided directly by Physical Therapists during extended treatment sessions.
Upon joining Mission Peak PT, Shannon will expand her practice to include pelvic health. She is one step away from earning her American Physical Therapy Association’s CAPP Certification in Pelvic Health. To achieve the CAPP, therapists must complete a series of courses, pass written and clinical exams, and submit a written case report. She anticipates completing these requirements by the end of January 2025.
On a personal note, Shannon and her husband have cherished raising their two adult children. She also enjoys hiking, skate skiing, and when time allows, creating wheel-thrown pottery pieces for her side business.
